I noticed an update for simple press, so updated...and now my site is down....
this is what I see:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_doing_ajax() in /home/psno1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-press/sp-startup/sp-load-core-admin.php on line 29
Can anyone help me???

sounds like you didnt upgrade wp to 4.7... the update in the wp updater was labelled as requiring wp 4.7..
always update wp first if the wp update is required...
rename the simple press plugin folder (any unique name)... update wp... rename the simple press plugin folder back to original name...
one of these days, WP will allow enforcing dependency within it.. they are finally talking about it at least...

fixed.....weird side effect. My layout is flipped. I had widgets on the right side, running along the side of the forum and all pages, now they are on the left. Any ideas? Thoughts?

hmmmm... we ran into the same thing early in the wp 4.7 dev cycle.. turns out we need to wait for an update to our wp theme Genesis... is your wp theme up to date?
