I upgraded simple:press from 4.3.5 to 5.4.1 following instructions on the site. I deactivated and removed the old plugin. I then uploaded the new plugin and went through the upgrade process. I now get the following message

"The requested group does not exist or you do not have permission to view it"

All user groups have the correct permissions set and I am a moderator and still get the same message. Also I can see the groups in the Simple Forum > Manage groups and forum's section. Everything seems fine so i can't figure this one out.

I am using wordpress 3.8.1.

Also when I try and visit direct url's it says I have no permissions when I am a moderator.
