Whoops – not sure how I missed that!

So – I think I got the wrong end of the stick here all round. I think what you are asking is for all images to be bigger – to the 480px width thumbnails. Is that right? This is what you have it set to.

So, if that is correct – is it also correct that the smaller thumbnails were uploaded prior to the setting being set to 480px and probably when it was still at the default of 100px? Because this would explain it. On your local server – where your own images are uploaded – we create an actual thumbnail to whatever is set in those image settings. So those are already created at a smaller size.  Any uploaded since the 480px setting was put in place will be at the larger size.

Well.. I just tried adding a new photo to the site and after adding it the thumbnail is still at 100px.

Ah… In the forum admin > Components > File Uploads panel is the settings for ‘Maximum size of thumbnails’ set too low for your purpose. That’s a bit confusing really except this is for saving and the other setting is for display (which is also applied to images NOT uploaded on to your server).
