Good Afternoon,
I'm having an issue getting photos to display consistently after upgrading to 5.x from 4.x. The issue appears to be a small thumbnail is displayed for photos stored on my website and a larger photo is shown if the photo is stored on an external site such as Photobucket. Here is a link to a topic where you can see the issue in action.
The first screenshot shows the image as I would like to see them displayed. Here is the source url of the image:

The next screenshot shows a small thumbnail in the same topic. Here is the source of that image: http://www.danwessonforum.com/.....DP_1.jpg As you can see the image is stored on my site.
The screenshot below shows my images settings in Forum > Options > Content Settings
Any help you can shed on this issue would be greatly appreciated!
Off-Topic: After the upgrade to 5.x I have seen a huge gain in performance! Thanks for all your hard work!

before answering in detail of what I suspect the issue is - is there any chance of a link to that actual forum page of yours so I can look at the html being generated?

So - I think I got the wrong end of the stick here all round. I think what you are asking is for all images to be bigger - to the 480px width thumbnails. Is that right? This is what you have it set to.
So, if that is correct - is it also correct that the smaller thumbnails were uploaded prior to the setting being set to 480px and probably when it was still at the default of 100px? Because this would explain it. On your local server - where your own images are uploaded - we create an actual thumbnail to whatever is set in those image settings. So those are already created at a smaller size. Any uploaded since the 480px setting was put in place will be at the larger size.

Well.. I just tried adding a new photo to the site and after adding it the thumbnail is still at 100px.

Ah... In the forum admin > Components > File Uploads panel is the settings for 'Maximum size of thumbnails' set too low for your purpose. That's a bit confusing really except this is for saving and the other setting is for display (which is also applied to images NOT uploaded on to your server).
