When I try to add an image to a post - nothing happens. I have waited for at least 10 minutes and the progress indicator doesn't change. What might I have done wrong? I'm using IE

Bruce,

The error log mentioned is something you can look at in the Simple:Press forum Admin area under Toolbox - Error Log. You may have a few different entries in it and the best way to see if something comes up when uploading is to clear out the log and then try the upload. After it fails then go back into the error log page and see if it shows anything.

The other thing I would recommend to do is add the Simple:Press TinyMCE Rich Text editor pluigin to the site, activate it and make it the default editor. Then test an image upload after that.

Brandon I have no idea what I'm doing. I downloaded the ditor for TinyMCE in a zip format. I read all of there installation advice, which made no sense to me at all. I believe I extract the zip file but I don't know where to put it.

I checked the error log and it was empty before I tried an upload and after.

Sorry but I don't have a clue about this programing stuff. Bruce

There is a page in the codex that shows you how to upload/install Simple:Press plugins. http://codex.simple-press.com/.....g-plugins/

You can review it but here's some quick info:
You can not use the WordPress plugin installer for Simple:Press plugins. You can either use the Simple:Press plugin uploader or manually add them to your site.

Adding Simple:Press Plugins to your site – Using Simple:Press uploader

Simple:Press comes with it’s own plugin uploader. When downloading a plugin to add to your site it will come in a Zip file. You do not need to unzip the file to use the Simple:Press uploader. Navigate to the Simple:Press Admin Section >Plugins > Plugin Uploader section and you can upload the plugin there. You can only upload new plugins.

Then once uploaded you can activate it.

Good news on the empty error log. Let us know how it goes adding Tiny!

Brandon

Thanks so much. I was trying to install it as a WP plugin. I also had the wrong plugin from the TinyMCE website. That part is working well and the post looks more like a word processor now which is great + spell check Yea!

My images still won't upload however. I can use the insert button to insert one from another URL but I can't get a simple 35K png file to upload. Anymore ideas?

Do you want to have a look at the site?
