OK I have installed and activated BuddyPress and now need to work out what it is, what it does and how one uses it! So I guess I am off to do some reading...
Having said that I keep reading through this thread trying to get a handle on what your problem actually is about and am having difficulty. Are you simply saying that when the SP profile is set to use the BP profile, the URL created is incorrect? I know we have a lot of users with both plugins active and who use this feature and we have no other reports of a problem as far as I am aware so I want to be sure I have this right...

OK - is this just that our plugin is expecting the BP profile page to actually have a pre-defined slug of 'members' as opposed to whatever the user has named it? As it certainly wotks for me as ling as thi9s is the case but I get the 404 if I try and use a different slug.
Is your issue as simple as that?
And if so I will need to check with Mr Papa when he returns about this. It might be (and as stated before - I have no knowledge of this) that when our integration plugin was written BP itself forced the page to be called 'members' and we missed the change to a user-selectable page.
If this isn't the issue then I think I am going to need more information and perhaps a step by step guide on how to replicate...

Just wanted to follow-up on this issue in case anyone else encounters it.
After I've updated SimplePress & BuddyPress the profile page links broke once again. In the latest version you need to set the Members page in BuddyPress settings to the "BuddyPress Members" page.

**BTW - I had to pay 10 bucks just to view this thread again? Even though I created it? At first I thought perhaps it was maybe deleted, but it's just behind a pay wall.... I think I should be able to view my own posts history without having to pay money for it!
you had to reset a page name you had already set? are you saying a setting was overridden? sorry if I am not following..

There was a bug in a previous version of the BuddyPress Plugin that required you set your members page to be exactly 'members'. If it was called anything else it would re-direct to a 404. (including the BuddyPress Members Page itself).
A recent upgrade (and fix) must of corrected this....or at the very least changed it. Because now only the BuddyPress Members page seems to work.
But yes, I had to change a page I already had set. I was just looking to reference this thread because I was experiencing the exact same issue as I had already resolved. The issue is now resolved though.
ah, okay, thanks for the clarification...
