On the left top side of the forums you have the following Index buttons

On my theme I have a falling cascade but on your site here they open straight across the the right, is there a way to change this on mine I have looked a few times and not found the answer.

This is small change to the function arguments that display the breadcrumbs. It means an edit to a theme template file (in your sp theme /templates folder in this case the spHead.php template. Open (you can use the Sp theme editor for this) and find the call to the function sp_BreadCrumbs().
Look at the argument list of that function and you will see tree=1. To turn off the tree just change it to a zero - so tree=0.
