In Fact, i don't want to EVER have to do this kind of work again. Who would be the right person to hire to make sure I don't have downtime on my Forum? People are not getting in since yesterday...

Can you explain this please? Are you saying they were listed in the Wordpress admin > Dashboard > Updates panel as needing to be updated yet when you tried to update them you got a message saying they had already been done?

If this is the case then it would be worthwhile trying to find out what is causing the problems. We have had thousands of updates to these items without incident.

if you really prefer to just let other people do it I can probably ask Brandon here to take a look.

This problem happened after I did routine plugin updating at WP admin > plugins. Then Ike said this:

"Please take a look in the WP admin page at Forum > Plugins – to see if anything needs updating"

So I went to WP admin page > Forum > plugins. It appeared a number of plugins need updating. I updated them and it showed "error--plugin already updated."

I checked the forum and tried to get into a topic and it returned "Invalid query". I have not seen any change in anything.

I feel stuck and like I am wasting my time. I would appreciate if Brandon would take a look. It seems to me that the experts here, who know the forum technology, would be able to figure it out much faster than me. What do you need from me?

First please see my previous post. WordPress admin > Dashboard > Updates. Please look there for Simple:Press plugins. Are any listed as needing updating. And if so - will you please just try and update them.
