Whenever I follow an external hyperlink to an item or post in our forum I briefly get an "Invalid Database Query" message (see image attached). This doesn't appear to have any adverse affect and everything seems to working OK and doesn't happen with links within the forum but it is a little annoying. Any ideas as to what it might be?

my guess is you updated to 5.3.1 but have not updated the required plugins yet... or vice versa...

All plug-ins are up to date. Sorry, didn't think to check the error log... here is the entry following the message..

Understood. One or two questions before we decide how to resolve it...
Is this a recent and newish installation of Simple:Press and if so, has the private messaging system been used?
And... do you know how to work with your database in tools like phpMyAdmin if I gave you a sql script to run?

That's right. Uninstall removes the sub-system - deactivate just turns it off.
There were two or three days when the release we made of SP failed to upgrade to create that new table which was quickly corrected. I assume this was the version you downloaded and installed. So - providing you are using the latest (2.0.4 as of yesterday) then uninstalling and then activating should run the install script for you.
