Is it possible to create forum based "memberships"

Using a membership plugin like Wishlist Member is it possible to create a forum that restricts post creation in that forum to people who purchase a "membership" while also letting everyone see/comment on those posts. I've done some digging but I haven't been able to find an answer. Hoping someone out there knows. Thanks.

This is very close to what we do here. With the exception that we do not allow non-members to make posts - but it can be done with the right permissions settings. There is an article on our Codex (see in the how to FAQs) regarding setting WP up with WishList which might hep get you started on the right track.
