Is it possible to reassign a forum comment/post to a different user?

I'm using blog linking and changed the post author on the blog side but it had no effect in the forum.

No we don't do that. Interesting. Never thought of it and never been asked for it . But I can add it to the list for the next round of linking updates as a proposal.
Meanwhile - you can manually re-assign a post via the popup toolbox in topic view.
