God deal.
I would probably move the line up and not move the arrow.
That could be done by changing the margin entry here:
#spMainContainer .spTopicPostSection .spPostSection .spPostContentSection .spPostContent
Change margin: 5px 0; to margin: -10px 0;

Once created we added it to our theme's /images folder and echo'd it out from our spTopicView.php file.
sp_SectionStart('tagClass=spPostContentSection', 'content'); echo '<img alt="" class="spAuthorArrow" src="'.SPTHEMEICONSURL.'thread-arrow-author.gif">'; sp_PostIndexContent('', 'Awaiting Moderation')
Brandon, where exactly do you put the PHP snippet in the sptopicview.php? Can you give me a specific location in the file? I think/problem-with-post-edit-buttonope I'll be able to take it from there with the CSS and your detailed explanation. Thanks...
The part that shows the arrow is line #2 in your quote. Starts with echo.
It goes, as shown, in between the sp_SectionsStart and sp_PostIndexContent - Awaiting Moderation lines.
Beautiful. All done. Looks great...

Thanks for the walk-through and help!!
Nice tweak! Thank you for these detailed instructions.
Any suggestions for showing a different image for the author arrow on even and odd posts? I don't see anything in the template file that declares even or odd posts and we alternate the post background colors so a different colored arrow is needed.
Thanks again.
EDIT: OK, I see now that you're using a different background color and arrow image for the current user so I know it's possible! Just not sure how to edit the template file.
