this was one thing I liked about mingle and have seen with other forum software, but I can't seem to find a way to do it with simple press, when we used mingle, we had a separate mod and admin forum that was only visible to mods and admins, so we could have private discussions about site issues, member issues, etc. Subscribers could never even see it in the forum list. Is this possible or am I missing a setting? Thank-you.

Can you go to Create New Forum in Forums menu and then once made go to Manage Groups and Forums and then assign a permission set so only admins can view?
Eg. Asign that forum the default No Access and Moderator Permission set then I'm guessing that would make the other roles unable to see it. I haven't tested this though.

thanks Kenn! Some reason I thought the no access meant they could still see it just not access it same as here

just for clarity, we dont use no access here... we instead use the sneak peek feature and let folks see that the forums and topics exist, but not view the posts themselves....
