I designed this forum here: http://www.newdaychurchsc.com/forum/ and when you go to add a topic we get the javascript:void(null). We have deactivated the plugins and still nothing.

Any idea on why this might be happening?

Thanks

see: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....wser-link/

also see:  http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/

in your case, you have js errors on your site...  the one of concern:

Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: a[href$=.mp3]
https://apis.google.com/_/scs/apps-static/_/js/k=oz.gapi.en.xLkSDnDPklw.O/m=plusone/am=gQI/rt=j/d=1/rs=AItRSTMdBKeoHA-Bv_XkKH2fqP0uBd5YpA/cb=gapi.loaded_0
Line 108

not entirely sure where its coming from but likely stopping further script processing...

One of my members recently experienced this and it turned out that he had JavaScript disabled in his browser settings. Once he enabled JS it worked fine.

In his case there would hjave been a message at the top that reads: 'This forum requires JavaScript to be enabled for posting content'...

Yes, I see that message appear at the top of the forum when I intentionally turn off JavaScript. I guess he didn't see that. He sent me an email saying nothing happened when he clicked Add Topic or Add Reply and the message "javascript:void(null)" appeared in the lower left corner of his browser window. So I assumed he had JS disabled and told him to check it.

We have beefed up the styling on that message a bit next time round to make it clearer.
