I have added your login to SP admin. I'm not a technical person at all so I'm struggling to understand a lot of what is going on. I understand what caching is and was told to add the W3 Total Cache plugin to speed up the site, but as for configuring it... no clue.

misconfigured caching plugins can actually make site response worse... and w3tc has a lot of configuration options and really gets the most bang when  you are using a server side opcode caching set up (ie memcached, apc, etc)...

so lets try to get to the bottom...

for now, why not just disable the caching plugin?  lets just get it out of the way and/or rule it out...  with it at least temporarily disabled, we can more easily see what is going on...  and maybe it even starts working...

I added the

define('SP_USE_PRETTY_CBOX', false);

and its working now...  the pretty checkboxes mus be clashing with other js on  your site...

another thing... please see:  https://simple-press.com/docum.....tes-5-5-3/

as  you are using a custom theme and will need to make a few minor css adjustments for this version...
