Support Forum
We seem to have developed an intermittent problem over the last couple of days where occasionally the layout of the Forum is screwed up, a page refresh will correct the situation. I'm not aware of any changes/updates that might have caused this although I did install three or four SP Plugins. I've since disabled them, but although the problem seems less frequent it is still apparent. Any ideas what could have suddenly caused this?
I am guessing that it got jumbled for reasons unknown but it got cached in a few pages which is why you see it as intermittent. Bottom line is that you canlt really use the Wp total cache with the forum page. You need to exclude it.
Please see https://simple-press.com/docum.....formation/ for extra information.

Thanks for the reply, I'm sure we had W3 set so that it ignored the Forum page but checked it anyway, the page cache was set to ignore the Forum but I found a setting in the database cache where you could set pages to ignore so I've set that too.
I did that last night and all seemed well but it has happened again this morning!
Anything else I can check?
The next stage would be to try and work out if the issue happens on specific page(s) or is totally random. If the former then we would be looking for some sort of error that would show up in the php error log and, possible the forum error log (as an actual Error). The latter is a bit harder to determine so suggest we wait for the result of diagnosis.

Thanks for the replies, I've excluded the forum from minification now too, so I'll monitor it and see what happens.
I first had a report from one of our members and as I hadn't seen it myself, I assumed it must be a browser issue, but then it started happening to me and other users reported the same thing, so I think it's more likely a site issue.
I can guarantee that this is unlikely to have any effect. This is an issue where your server is not dishing up the styling. As I said - this could be caused by some sort of unexpected error. I would still take a lok at the error log (both th SP Amin one and the PHP one) and see if there are any actual errors being reported. The server php error log is the more likely.
