This is a product of your WP theme CSS. Are you by any chance using the ClassiPress theme? If so I can give you a simple fix. If not I may need a link to your forum page so I can look at the CSS being applied if that is possible.
While you are here - we have two membership registrations in your name. The one you are using here and another - without the middle 'A' and with a different email address. This registration was never completed (i.e., following the redirection from PayPal) but we believe was paid for. We did try emailing the address used to ask about this. Can you confirm for us what the situation is exactly please?

Yes regarding the other membership...I tried registering with another email address & used a credit card (no paypal account), however I never received the emails through + the transaction was not displaying on my cc so I assumed it failed.
However I learned yesterday that we had big problems on our server & any emails sent/received over the weekend were lost.
Thanks for letting me know - is it possible to refund from your end?

Carley, yes we can either refund the first, incomplete purchase/registration or extend this membership out further. As Andy say, we tried to email you 3 times this weekend on it but understand server issues - we have had our fair share! 
The double is from the css in the classipress theme, it has js globally applying css to any select menu instead of targeting specific ones... you can find some css to add to your theme to fix it here:

you may want to read more of the topic, but multiple classipress users verified it fixes the wp theme issue...
