Support Forum
You can pin topics to stay at the top. This is possible when you create a topic (using the options available below the editor area) or by using the forum tools. If you are not familiar with these then this codex article explains them: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....her-tools/
As to your second question - Simple:Press is template driven therefore you can add anything you like or need to the template and have it display how and where you want it. Template can be found ion the /templates folder of the SP theme you are using so you just need to decide where you want to display your link and add it as necessary.

No, sorry, you misunderstood... the template is part of the theme and on your server - not in the admin settings...
by default, it would be in wp-content/sp-resources/forum-themes/default/templates if you were using the default theme... you would edit the file on your server... or, if you server permissions are willing, you can edit the theme files in forum - themes - theme editor...

ok great .. i will look there
i am having a problem with forum .. can i ask or do i need to post new topic??
have a forum problem ... it is a class that has 3 levels
standard can post etc
auditors can post
observers can only watch and not post ..
I have dble and triple checked setting and for some reason folks are getting forums they are not members of and observers can not see heeling forum???
help please!
I am not sure I understand your 3 levels... keep in mind that permissions are cumulative with 'best' permission winning... so if a user is in usergroup a that cannot post, but all in usergroup b that can post, the usergroup b permission will 'win' as the best post...

Not at all. You just need to create the user groups you need and the pemrission sets you need and te them together when defining forums.
Might be worth starting by taking a look at the 'getting Started' section of the codex - in particular the user group, permission and access control pages.

hi
i have 3 levels ..
full member
audit
observer
one observer is not able to view
login nancyrip and password broddiedog1
i tested my observer dumbie account and it worked fine .. matter of fact lets me post which i DO NOT want observers to do but was able to see forum fine ..
my log in info
admin
1dogwood1
please take a look and let me know what the issue is ... the member is showing up fine in membership account etc ..
publishing login information on a public forum seems a but risky...?
There is not enough information in what you're asking for that really allows me to make any useful judgement at all at the moment.
So... your term 'level'. What does that equate to in WordPress role terms and in Simple:Press User Group terms? Have you set these up as either of these entities? And if as WordPress roles - have you mapped them to Simple:Press user groups?
And a follow up question would be hoe do your users get assignrd to these 'levels' of yours when being set up with their WordPress accounts?
Did you read through the access control codex article to get a basic understanding of how this works?
