Support Forum
I apologize if I'm bringing up non issues because I'm still new to simple-press but I think I've hit two issues.
- I just left a post on my test forum, and the "last post" time stamp said 14368 seconds ago. Older posts display normal information. When I refreshed it, the number changed to 14251 seconds ago; now (a few minutes later), it's at 13951. I think it's counting down to something or other.
- Also, in this subforum, I wanted to post instructions, not with the editor (there are already instructions there), so I edited the forum under "manage groups and forums", and changed the Special forum message to be displayed above topics. Nothing fancy, just plain text. It's not showing in that subforum at all (yes, I clicked the update forum button). The message I put in above the editor shows just fine, so I don't know if I forgot to flip a switch somewhere and it's just me, or if it's not working.
Thanks!
as to the time, what is your server timezone? what is your wp timezone (wp general settings)? and what timezone have you set for yourself in your sp profile (options - display options)?? they all interact to calculate the time...
Not sure I follow #2... Are you saying the special forum message works on top level forums, but not subforums? or have you only tried on this one subforum?

On the WP settings page, I have picked New York for the site's time setting. It was apparently the SP profile time zone setting, which was set to UTC...but I didn't do anything to my SP profile on there. Would it be possible to have SP use the WP/server time zone for users' default time zone settings?
I've only set a message on the one subforum. It turns out that it's an iForum thing that's making it not show up--if I go back to the default SP theme then it does show. Thanks!
I will have to check with Andy when he gets back... that may be a desired operation for that theme (ie he purposefully left out the template tag)... you can of course change it as you have complete control in the theme...
