When I link content in a post and set the target to None, it still opens in a new window. Can this be fixed?

What is there to fix? What are your linking options in the forum admin > option > content settings set to for links? Have you actually set them as you want them?

In Forum Admin > Options > Content Settings, I have the option for "Open links in new tab/window" checked. It's been this way since the beginning, years.

So you have the option to open in a new window turned ON - but you do not want it to open in a new window? So have you actually tried turning that option off...?

Unchecking the "Open link in new tab/window" option fixed the issue. Thank you.
Although, now whenever anyone else shares a link, it opens in the same tab. This is fine if they're linking to something locally (another page on the same site) but that's never the case. All links posted are to outside sources.
I'm wondering if I should just leave the option checked. I want people to stay on my site when they click on links.
