Hi Folks -

So, the log in button is not functioning and reads (javascript:void(null)) in the bottom left hand corner of my browser window where there would normally be the URL. It reads the same for both the add topic buttons above and below topics list... What's strange (to me) is the add topic within the forum bar (before clicking on the forum to browse topics) works splendidly.

Lastly, none of the RSS buttons work...

I quite literally installed Mingle and their forums had very little response so switched last night to SP because I've heard the support is excellent (didn't know I had to pay for it), installed SP, added three groups and 11 forums with descriptions today and realized these items weren't working.... Then I uninstalled it in hopes of not having to pay for help (I know, you get what you pay for) and subsequently tried bbpress and hated it, so, now I'm back to square one with an entire days worth of work and no ability to add topics for admins OR for members....

Please help! 🙂 (I'm not a coder and very new to blogging but am working on the genesis framework, midnight child theme, and have bluehost....if that helps.)

Thanks so much in advance!

Jenelle

looks like you are using the wp super cache plugin?  have you properly told it not to cache the forum page? if so, did you also clear the cache to get any cached pages out of its system?

Ah-ha - I read a post about this in your forum, but I didn't quite understand what it meant. Ok, I'll go check if I can tell it not to cache specific pages right now and I'll report back. 🙂

Thank you for your prompt reply!!

Ok, so, I'm sure this is a silly question, but, I'm not seeing where I can tell it the page specifically....do you have any experience with super cache and which screen in the plugin and where on the screen I can do that (I know, this is probably beyond the SP forum help...but, it's worth a try, I guess).

yes... on their settings page, there is a input filed where you can enter pages to not be cached...  for yours, you would enter

/std-forum/

You're a genius and I must be too as I JUST figured it out as you were replying! Ok, now I'll see what does and doesn't (hoepfully nothing) work now.

THANK YOU!
