how did you tell w3tc to not cache the forum? for EVERY caching type in use, you must tell it to ignore the forum page in the exclusion section...
also, you are serving the forum as the main page... so are you not caching the main page in the exclusions too?
I dont see any php object cache active either, so not sure you are really getting any benefit and perhaps performance hit from w3tc because of that... but your call...

Okay, I have told W3 not to cache the following pages in ALL caching type:
/forum/
/problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/
Is that the correct way to tell W3 not to cache the home page and the forum when the forum is my home page?
My members can now login but upon logging out, they get a fatel error. I am not sure if, for security, it is a good idea to post all of the fatel error message in this forum so I will not do it. I can PM the message to you or if you would like, register with my forum and try it yourself. Please let me know what I need to do. Thank you in advance.
is the logout url redirect correct on forum - components - login and registration?
/problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/ is meaningless and wont help... it does not appear in part of a url... hard to tell if you are successful in the exclusion cause the caching message is still displayed..
you can pm us the error message to us if you want...

I need help configuring W3 Total Cache correctly. It has been the cause of so many issues with my forum functionality but my forum is dead slow without it. I've been told that other SP users use W3 successfully but I am at a loss in terms of successfully configuring this plugin to interact optimally with Simple:Press. I have told all caching types to ignore my forum. Basically, what I did there was input the URL into the "Never Cache the Following Pages" window in each caching option. I would really appreciate a little guidance here. Would you be willing to configure my W3 install for me?
Thank you in advance. I look forward to hearing from you.
when I saw it, you did not configure it to ignore the main page... remember, as I said, you were having the forum show on the main page, not just on /forum/...
and you had some caching types in play that I dont think you really had on your server, but you never answered those questions...

Mr Papa,
Just so that I am clear, in the window that say, "Never Cache the Following Pages," I am to put '/forum/' but you said that that addition is meaningless since I do not have /forum/ in my URL. My forum is my home page so I have asked it not to cache the home page either. I have unchecked, Varnish, and Object Caching. In the, "Never Cache the Following Pages," I have added (instead of /forum/), the URL of my website since my forum is my site's home page. This has rendered W3 basically useless as my forum is slower than ever. Is this what I am supposed to be including in the, "Never Cache the Following Pages" window? If not, can you please advise?
May I ask what makes this Simple:Press support forum so fast? What do you use to make it work?
Out of us here at SP I really need Steve on the wp-cache questions - or anyone else if they are familiar with it.
I can talk about this site. In terms of caching or any sort of speed enhancing options - we use nothing. We just shell out for good hosting which is still the best improvement to performance available.

Hopefully Mr Papa will be able to help me configure my W3.
I use a VPS and of the various sites that I run, the site that runs Simple:Press operates at such a dead pace that it's deterring users from visiting my site. It's been a real problem.
Who is your host provider and on what service?
Mr Papa, Yellow Swordfish,
The cause of my sites horrible slowness was the fact that it was sending 53MB of data over the network with every page load. The data has been removed and now my site only throws 0.05MB of data over the network.
My site now loads super fast and I no longer use any caching plugin! This is a situation I have been trying to achieve for a really long time. Hopefully, I can keep it this way.
Please check my site load speed and let me know what you think.
