Personally I would call tjhis a bug in the GA plugin and as you are a user of it it would, perhaps, be good to let them know.

The effect is that on some urls - if they contain an onclick event, one of the quotes surrounding the onclick - either single or double quotes - is being transformed - i.e., single becomes double (or it may be the other way around!). But it leaves it unbalanced and thus causes an error.
