I am using Jarain to handle my 3rd ~Party login at the moment I have the 'URL to redirect to after RPX login:' field left blank, is this the best option?

I rather think the label on the field in the admin panel says it all really. Leave it blank and see what happens. if you don't like it then you can put a redirect in place instead. there is no good or bad as such.
