What I mean is, I lost the ability to edit using the tools...IE embed link, bold etc etc. All I have now in my forum is straight text box.

I may have removed something? Help???

thanks...Rob

Basically what has actually changed? More likely - what has been added? or example - have you added any plugins that add buttons to the TinyMCE editor for use in the wordpress Blog Post editor? Or have you changed your WP theme? Or other new plugins?

Well maybe - but I wont be able to tell what has changed recently. Only you know if you have upgraded anything or installed anything new. But I guess we can look.

Please PM credentials to both myself and to 'Mr Papa'. Please include in the PM a link to your site, a link to this thread and brief reminder of the problem. And one of us will take a look for you.

Well I guess the first thing of note is you have some 25 updates waiting to be applied - many of them SP plugins. Many SP plugins are dependent upon the SP and/or WP version - although i do not think this is the case with the editor plugin.

Also in post #2 I asked the question 'have you added any plugins that add buttons to the TinyMCE editor for use in the WordPress Blog Post editor?'

So - a little surprised that you did not know you had the WP plugin 'TinyMCE Advanced'  installed. It is possible that this is cause of the problem. Some TinyMCE add-on plugins assume that the editor is only being used in the admin and therefore do you code it up to ensure it works in the public side as well. It is often an easy fix. But first - you will need to deactivate ot to see if this is indeed the issue.

If the problem was the tinyMCE plugin then as I said, we can probably help you fix that...
