Hi Guys..

Weird, my forum RSS just quit working. Everything in the settings looks correct. Feeding at most 20 posts. No directory or path changes. Any ideas?

Thanks wink

Nevermind.. It was a plugin "No 404 Errors" that was causing the problem.

Quite useful to redirect 404's to a defined site page or post. Strange I'm running it on another site with no problems.

Surely the curious thing here is why would a plugin designed to interrupt a 404 header response interrupt an rss feed? I assume that without this plugin the feed is working just fine so that is weird.

Beats me..

Was working fine then quit. After going to the forums page and seeing the categories / topics there i assumed all was well. But when clicking on a topic i was redirected to my home page, as the 404 redirect is set to go.

All i know is i disabled the plugin and all seems to be well again. I had removed a bunch of categories and topics and didn't realize that Google webmaster tools would red flag all those removed areas posts. Seemed fitting to just reroute their bot to the home page. In theory i guess.

It might have something to do with the speed the board loads. Noticed that happened a lot on one site that resides on GoDaddy and disabled the 404 plugin cause during peak times nobody could access the board.

Ahhhh.. The life and times of a web fiddler.. eek
