Support Forum
Hello,
I need to make a subforum still accessible to users in order to read and comment old topics but noone can create new ones. Do I have to tick the "Locked" checkbox to do that? Or do I have to revoke permissions to the users to create new topics in the subforum?
In any case: what does "Locked" do?
Thanks and good day 🙂

Locking a topic means exactly that. Locked from any further additions (with the exception of forum admins who can still post).
But with regard to sub-forums what do you mean by 'noone can create new ones'? Do you mean you are unable to create a sub-forum itself?

Sorry Andy I explained myself badly.
I have a subforum for which I want to leave all topics available to read and reply to but I don't want anybody to be able to create new topics in it. What is the best way to achieve it? Some options to set on the subforum itself (I see a checkbox Locked in the Forum options) or changing the user permissions?
