I was wondering if i am just over looking something.. here
We are slowly building our forum we have about 25 beta users helping us find issus.. before we go live.. we have found some posts need to be Pinned ..
Is there a setting that will allow to some how make an obvious distinction other than the little icon pin.. something that will make the post stand out as a sticky?

every pinned post is assigned a class so you can style it however you want... with your dev tools, ie firefox with firebug, take a look at the topic view... you will see the pinned posts all have a class of 'spPinnedPost' applied for your styling benefit... also at the forum view (topic list) level, any pinned topics have a class of 'spPinnedTopic' applied for styling...
so just add the desired styling (ie background color) to those and you should be good to go...
