We are awaiting a new hook in the WordPress delete user page to arrive (next update we believe) so that we can at the very least warn people of what they are about to do... It has been a long time coming!

So yes - find out the user ID of the person who is to become the new forum admin. You will need that. Then, in the xx_userrmeta table, locate the row where the user_id column matches and the meta_key is equal to xx_capabilities. In both instances here the xx_ is your WP table prefix.

To give the user a WordPress Administrator role and a full Simple:Press Admin status, paste the following into the meta_value column of the record:

I can see has one or two plugins added but that is OK. If you need to modify anything go to the forum admin > Admins > Manage Admins and do it there,. If you have any other plugins that add capabilities you may need to then adjust this user to add those back in.
