I'm restructuring my forums after moving them to a new domain and due to the new setup I'm changing things around. This means I need to move a bunch of topics to different groups.. is there any way I can move more than one topic at once? Otherwise this is going to take forever

topics dont belong to groups...  they belong to forums...  are you changing the forum they belong to?  it doesnt really matter which group they are in...

if changing forums, then you will have to do it in the db...  this is an extreme edge case and we dont have a tool for it...

you can change the forum id of any topics in the db (using phpmyadmin) in the sftopics table... but you will also have to change the forum of any posts in those topics moved in the sfposts table...  and then when done, rebuild the forum indexs on the toolbox housekeeping page...

And those forums are within groups ;)

I've done some moving stuff around already, what I'm left with now is needing to move a bunch of topics out of a bunch of sub forums and have them just in the parent forum instead.. what you're describing sounds like it's going to be just as time consuming as moving each of the topics using the built in forum tools... not what I really wanted to hear

Phew.. that didn't take as long as I expected.. an everything SEEMS to have gone smoothly.

In case you're curious http://marveltv.org/forums

The forums were initially on http://shieldtv.net but have been combined due to other shows coming along in the near future, made sense to have them all linked together.
