Support Forum
I have a webmaster in Australia. I need someone who is not asleep when we're awake. Is there a way to find someone here who can be a backup webmaster for situations like this? I need someone to find out why everyone is locked out. Here is what they say:
"For some reason now, I'm able to sign in to the member site, but when I try to go to any of the links like the orientation page or the forum page, it says I have to be a member first. Did something change here"
"I'm having trouble accessing the Community site. When I login, I get the message "Sorry - the Forum is for members only"
"When I go to the page, it says "Sorry - the Forum is limited to members only," and when I try to go to the home page, it says "Oops! Wrong Membership Level." I logged out and then back in to see if that would change anything, but it didn't, and I don't quite know what else to do from here except try back later."
first, users do NOT log into Simple Press... they log into WordPress... WP handles all the user accounts, registrations and log ins...
second, simple press does not have any messages like 'forum is limited to members only', 'oops, wrong membership level', etc... That sounds like you a running wishlist member (or other membership plugin) and protecting the wp page the forum appears on... I suspect those are wishlist messages and you have it misconfigured for your access to the forum page...
as additional info, here is a faq on simple press and membership plugins: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....ip-plugin/
