If Members don't remember their password is there anyway or place the ad-min can search to inform member of their password if they are requesting it.

Are or is there a database for saving members log in passwords?

Thanks,

keep in mind that users and passwords are all wp... that said, both the wp login page and our inline login form have links to a password reset feature of wp so users can get a new password if they forget theirs... once they get a new password, they can change it to whatever they want on their profile... the passwords are stored in the db, but are encrypted, hashed and salted so no really readable...

The Problem I am having is that someone registered on my forum and a password was not sent so they contacted me to request help. Can you advice what to recommend to the new-be or do I need to set some settings differently.

regarding which?Sending out the emails or resetting passwords?

Sending passwords is the province of WordPress although SP will let you change the text of the email and the name/details of the sender of the email (Options > Email Settings).

WordPress is notorious for failing to send emails so if this is the problem we usually suggest people install the HGK SMTP plugin which seems to solve most of the problems for the majority of users

Any way to get word-press to resend pass code to sign in to forum in order not to bother the new sign up or ask them to re-register and losing their original sign up name.

As I mentioned before, they can use a lost password link in the wp login page or the sp inline login form... that will send them a new password... will not have any effect on username... when they log in, they can reset the password to whatever they want in their profile...

I also mentioned that the password is encrypyted/problem-with-post-edit-buttonashed/salted so you really cannot send them the current password - its just how WP works (and for security reasons you should like it)...
