I deactivated and reactivated but didnt see it in the scheduled chron either.
I would like to have the hack pls

try adding this:
add_action('init', 'sp_cron_generate_stats');
to your spFunctions.php template file of your sp themes... will force stats to be built every page load... see if tht works then we can try to slow it down if you want..
