Missing post counts in Windows 7 Safari

I wasn't sure where to post this. It's the weirdest problem I've ever seen. It's not just post counts that are missing, but every single number on every page, including post content. What could be causing this browser and platform to reject all numbers? Every single number on the site! Any ideas? It's fine on every other browser and platform. The site is trekverse.com. I attached a screenshot:

Help?

This site (your site, this one) is doing just fine on that browser and platform. What could be the issue? Like I said, it's fine everywhere else. It's just that one situation. I searched the entire world wide web for some example of this happening and found nothing.

The numbers show up in the source code, but not on the page. But it's not a styling issue.

Why do you say it is not a styling issue - which is exactly what it sounds like? If it is in the source and you don't see it then I don't know any other reason it would not show.

If you believe this is the case simply because it shows up in all other browsers then sadly that is a misapprehension - especially where Safari on Windows is concerned. I assume you do know that Safari on Windows has not been updated for a very long time and is, basically, abandoned.

I can get someone who has access to Windows (but not 7) to look at it using the last Win Safari version available as I can't as I am using Mac/OSX but you could start off by telling us what Simple:Press theme and overlay you are using so we can match it.

Because it's every number on the entire site, and there is no styling rule that can target just numbers or that can pull numbers out of a sentence to hide them (is there?). Like in the line "14 days" the word "days" shows up, but the number doesn't. I can highlight and copy the word "days" but not the number, because it isn't there. And it's not just a specific tag, it's all numbers everywhere.

No, I did not know that, but that is good to hear.

I'm using the Default theme with the black-gold overlay.

Edit: but it works fine on 8.1.

Hey David,

I am using Windows 8 but I guess we probably have the same version of Win Safari (5.1.7 Right?)

As Andy said, Safari for windows hasn't received an update since 2012 so if you're looking to validate your site on Safari to cater for those who use it, I wouldn't worry too much! We still check it for consistency, and it would be nice to think that everything works across the board but to say that we 'fully support' Safari for Windows would be a bit of a lie as it would be like saying we support a 3 year old version of IE.. Of course Safari for OSX is a different story and fully supported!

That being said, I have taken a look and see no problem at all (using the link to your forum which you posted in your last topic). Everything is there, things like 'Help!' show up fine, 'Topics 2, Posts 12, 21 hours ago etc..)

Have you cleared Safari's cache?

I totally understand. Yeah, I cleared the cache, reset, I even uninstalled and re-installed, but I'm not that worried about it. I think I was just more curious, but thanks for checking!

Oh but wouldn't it be nice to know why!
