I whipped up another theme using Artister V4 and in reactive mode sp does not show the "mark all as read" error. But turning the reactive off presents the error again.
I don't like reactive because of how it staggers the sidebars. Looks mickey mouse. Theme is not active now, lots of mods needed. I'll fiddle with it again tomorrow.

I am somewhat unsure what this 'mark all read' issue is.
On a normal desktop theme this is a button. On the Unified theme running on a mobile device then it is not a button but should be a part of the action menu options - i.e., the dropdown list that on the phone expands to be a menu list.
Have you made any changes to the templates or code to make it appear as a button? Or am I missing something? The screenshots are not totally clear...

Mornin Steve, Everything on the forum is stock and up to date. I finally figured out how the action menu thing worked, just on my S3 i was looking for a submit or go button because after selecting an action nothing happened, i was looking for a submit button. The same in my WordPress admin area (wp up to date). Was trying to configure my sp mobile theme on the S3 but after selecting an action nothing happened. Might be something in the S3 that WordPress don't like.
One thing i just thought of - I'm running the site through CloudFlair.com don't see why that would make a difference.
Question about reactive themes in general, Is it possible to use reactive mode and collapse any sidebar widgets? If they displayed like any menu items it would be ok, but i have widgets than stagger down the page and look like hell. For that reason i always turn reactive off when creating a Art V4 theme.

the sidebar will be the purview of the wp responsive theme... our responsive theme only handles the forum stuff... as you are seeing, our responsive theme only works with wp responsive themes that work well.. we do not do anything for the rest of the site or page that is non forum...
I have not had any of these problems with my Galaxy S3 - works fine... and also works fine with the mobile emulator in that mode too... of course, the latter is just an emulator... My S3 is actually my wife's S3 that I test with and dont have access to it at the moment... this could still come down to the wp theme not being responsive...
have you tried switching to the latest wp default theme and seeing if things improved?

I made a new Artisteer V4 responsive theme for the site. And made this quick video to show y'all what I'm seeing on my Samsung Galaxy S3.

Those issues you showed are all with your wp theme... I would hesitate to call that a responsive theme... its the wp theme choice to load your wp widgets like that... its the wp theme that controls the entire page layout before the forum and after the forum (this includes headers, footers and sidebars)... we dont interact with that... what you can try to do though is load a different page template... see the option on forum - themes - mobile phone theme... you can tell us to load a different page template that might not have any sidebars... this would only be for mobile phone... you might have to create this alternate wp page template if you wp theme does not provide one..
that reloading stuff has nothing to do with sp... there is no determine what device and reload that occurs in sp... its just a different sp theme loaded... this occurs within wp as the forum page is loaded... we just load our theme... no reloading needed or done...
why firefox beta? better to use the stable release...
oh, the one thing you mentioned that we are involved in is that bit of white space you referenced... its not really white space per se... see that icon to the far right? couldnt tell what it was, but you have a plugin adding some content at the bottom of the post it appears... its right aligned, so the far left looks empty, but its really a whole row... and as always you could tweak the sp theme css to add/remove/change styling as desired...
thanks for the feedback!

I am curious about the WP theme loading as desktop and then switching - which IS what it looks like. This is an oddity indeed. WP has determined (as much as it is possible) what sort of device is making the request prior to loading the theme files which suggests that it is something within the way the theme works. Not good. It will also add loading time if it has to go back and make a redirected http request.

Hi guys, I gave up going mobile for the time being.
Artisteer just started responsive theme design in their V4 version, and obviously they have a ways to go. I like the program for building desktop themes. I'm using menu urls to link to the various sp forums I have installed. That explains the switching when selecting a forum from the header menu. Your site is working perfect, i'm on the S3 now. Going to contact artisteer tomorrow about the problem with their theme generator. Will let y'all know what I find out. Once again thanks for all your help.
