Hello
I have 2 moderators who are not receiving any emails of new posts or topics, how do I set this up without giving the moderator admin access.

Actually you can't. This is something which we are coincidentally discussing at the moment to see if we need to change things.
As it stands you do need to let your moderator access the admin section of your site. There is no actual problem with this as they will only be able to access those parts of the WP admin that their WP role allows them to access and as for the forum there will only be the one options - 'Your Admin Options' - where they can turn on the option to get email notifications.
As I say - this will probably change in a future update.

Hi,
I didn't post the original post but picked this one up when I had the same issue.
The moderator followed your process in front of me and the email notifications is enabled under 'Your admin options' however the moderator did not get an email on their email address on any subsequent posts(that are moderated)?
Is there something else I need to look for within WP/SP?

is this shared hosting? or dedicated? you might need an smtp plugin for wp for your server to reliably send out emails (we dont send them)... we tend to recommend hgk smtp plugin for that...
if that option is enabled, they will get emails about all new posts... there is now way to get just posts in moderation...
have you verified their email address is correct in their profile? also double check the email settings on forum - options - email

Yes I checked the email address and ts fine. Admin always receives notfications but not the moderator.
The email address settings under options seem to allow details for a single 'from' email address.
ie the email from name
and the email domain name.
I will have a look around and see if there is anything else

the email in the options, is the FROM email... the TO address will be the email address in the moderator's profile...
and did you install the smtp plugin?
and maybe, just to be sure, post a screenshot of those email settings in options?

Hi ,
no not yet, saw on the Wordpress site that the plugin hadnt been updated for 2yrs on the wordpress site so wasnt sure about it.
I have attached a couple of screenshots.

All ok now. Not sure why it started working suddenly.
You're right though, occasionally the odd email doesnt come through
