I'm having a issue with my Simple Press forum....  My users get a  [ Forum not set - Unable to create post ]  error
after they try to post a topic or reply.

End results the forum won't allow the content to be posted.  I also installed the profanity-filter plugin but which doesn't help.

The best I like to turn off the word filter if that is the case.

Oh I like to add that I checked all my plugins and they aren't the cause of this error.

Hi I installed a test forum on my new site I'm starting up.  I'm getting the same problem here that I'm getting with my other WP site.  Both site's are using the same theme now and and I did switch to Twenty getting the same error.

caching plugins what would that mean?

My test site http://dexonescam.com/forum-2/

You could say this is a new install, since I started using simple press I had this problem.

So what dose [forum not set] mean?, is it a bad install ?

Thanks,

Jon

caching plugins would mean wp caching plugins such as w3 total cache, wp super cache, etc...  I dont see one on your site...

but your site is doing something very, very odd and output two html doctypes... very non standard and in violation of html standards...  but not sure what is doing it...  I would investigate that.... perhaps try a temp switch to the default wp theme...

forum not set means that POST data was not sent to the form processor... yeah, techno talk... but means data was interrupted...  is your server by chance running mod_security???  a poor excuse for security that some hosts insist on running...

Hey,

Okay first off, after reading your post I did some google searching and found mod_security to be a issue for most users.  So I contacted my hosting after doing some of that reading.  Take make it short the shared host I'm on doesn't allow the type of content my users want to post.

mod_security is blocking it from being posted...  I'm investing on a low price server that all have online sometime next month.

Thanks Papa :)

mod_security is frankly the bane of developers and site admins... please update us on how it goes...
