On the smiley question - the small set we distribute with SP originate with the TinyMCE editor. This was partly because of backwards compatibility. I just noticed - now I have looked - that Wp seem to updated their smiley set so I may investigate switching to those.

On narrow themes I see that Brandon has taken up the challenge so looks like something is moving in the right direction. Thanks Brandon.

And on the editor - the current and more recent releases of TinyMCE have been a bit of a pain as far as Firefox problems go although this has been a Firefox issue. Much was corrected in FF 8 and 8.0.1 but I now they have still not got it sorted 100%. I was unaware of problems with IE however even though they are more likely to happen.
