Support Forum
Struggling with this I'm afraid.
For some reason have our 2 moderators appearing as being in 'Moderators' group which is correct but we also have the word 'Moderator' in there as well. Where does this come from? Also, is there any way I can be selective about what is shown in this box? I'd be quite happy to remove 'Moderator' and, for the matter, the group name 'Moderators' as they are clearly identified as mods in the forum footer.
Any ideas?
Thanks
The main problem with editing templates, of course, is that when the theme gets updated you lose those changes. So the strictly correct way to do it is to adopt the child theme and make changes in that which means your edits are safe. It means activating the chcild theme (that we supply) and then you would need to copy any templ, ates we edit from the parent into the child.
However, there is a 'quick and dirty' method using CSS if you prefer which I can offer you.
If this is the only change you are likely to make to templates then you may prefer the quick and dirty!
So - your call. If you do it with the child theme then the templates you need to copy from the parent into the child are in /templates/desktop/spTopicViewDesktop - and the equivalent from the 'mobile' folder. And again - after you set that up I can tell you what to change

It can vary depending on what features you are or are not using so...
- If you have set up standard user ranks the users rank will be shown
- If you have set up special ranks and placed the user into one then that will be shown
- Finally the name of any user groups the user is a member of will be shown
Does that clarify...?
