To answer your question above, members_leve1 role in WP is assigned to Members Level 1 in SP. Could the space in between the usergroup name be responsible?

but the image doesnt jive with what you said earlier about a user group with spaces in the name...  none of the wp roles are matching up to such a wp role???

did you change the names?

I think we need to get the most important question cleared up as we will end up going in circles!

We need to know with 100% accuracy if your combination of user registration correctly calls the WordPress 'user_register' action hook and probably the best way to do that is to ask the authors of that plugin. Although - if you want to send me a zipped copy I don't mind doing a search in the code for it myself.

and would like to know the answer to my question in post #21

and I still want to know how you are registering folks... by default BP doesnt register users.. it uses wp registration... in fact, it hooks into the register_user action like we do...

mr papa i think that question is not relevant to my issue, but to Adewale Olaore's issue

i don't have any plugin managing the registration :) it's default wordpress+buddypress :)

I can mail ftp/admin wp acc if you want to check it out :)

oh maybe on the question.. why its better to have one issue per topic... ;)

might help to know how you configured bp... mine goes to the standard wp registration...  yours goes to another page... if I configure bp that way, it requires some other plugin to put the login/registration form on the page...  but I am not a bp user so could have something wrong...

and would be hard to imagine that bp is sitting on the same hook we are for new wp registrations and then not fire the same hook themselves if they added a new user outside wp...

send the credentials to both yellow swordfish and mr papa via pm... link back to this topic...
