I seem to have this problem a lot lately, but I haven't been able to get new post notifications sent to  my moderators or admins. I have tried disabling all plugins, I've tried going into Forum > Admins > and checking the box to grant all mods same settings as above, and still no luck. Can you please help me fix this issue?

Hey Dro Simoes,

Are you receiving any other emails sent out? Maybe subscriptions, PM's, registration related emails?

It's WordPress that handles the sending of emails, and it's notoriously bad at doing so. From personal experience I can get one email 12 hours after an event, and another 10 minutes after. Also might be worth checking spam / junk folders.

I'd suggest if you haven't already, installing an SMTP plugin. The one in the link there we use here and haven't had any problems with, although there are others that do the same job.

I just tried that as well and the emails still aren't coming in to all the mods. I did get some emails in to my box because I put my email address as the email for that SMTP plugin. Those were just to show that my email address SENT out those emails but for some reason they're not receiving them. I included a shot of the sent emails to show an example. I also checked the junkmail folders and it's not coming into there.

When I send emails directly to them, they get it, so it doesn't make sense that the system sending them out as me end up failing. I just did a test again by posting a new topic and a couple people confirmed getting them, but two people still haven't received the tests that are admins.

the fly in the ointment here is that wp sends the emails, not sp...  its sort of out of our control...

have the admins not receiving them checked their spam folder?

and doesnt sound like this is the case for your tests, but want to make sure - you will not receive a notification for your own posts...

also, can you have them verify that the get notifications email option is checked in their admin options?  this would help verify that when you did the grant to them option, it actually worked...  we know it has worked, but would like to make sure in this instance too...

okay, thanks. I'll try that and make sure everyone is getting the proper emails. If I have any problems after I'll come back and let you know.

Is there a way to make a User receive notifications for each new post, or do they have to be moderators and admins in order to have that setting set.

If they must be a mod, can I make the user a mod but have their posts need to be approved by an admin in order for their post to go live?

Not quite - Take a look at the subscriptions plugin.

You can check the option to 'auto subscribe members to all topics they post in', so they will receive email notifications, although this will only take effect on users created after you turn the option on. Current users can enable this (or disable) at their leisure from within their profile.

You just need to make sure your users have permission to subscribe.
