It looks like the admin access enables the buttons. I have revoked admin privileges for the testUSER and now, the buttons are missing again. Since new users aren't receiving admin privileges, I need to find out why these buttons are missing so that new users can post. Please use the login creds I PM'd and see for yourself. Let me know what you see (or don't see). I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Okay, so after doing a bit more research, I have discovered why my new testUSER has experience a forum without "Add Reply" or "Add Topic" buttons. It is because when they registered, they weren't auto-assigned any membership. New members have the status of, "No Membership." This is a first. So I assigned them a membership manually via SP-Admin > User Groups > Manage User Groups. This process is taxing and I'm not sure why it isn't automatic. Membership status is the default status for new registrants. Everything is set up so that new registrants receive membership status, so why aren't they? I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
works fine... left you couple posts... new topic and reply...

Is there anyway new registrants can be auto-assigned membership? They are currently listed as "no membership." That leaves me having to manually add them to the membership list via SP-Admin > User Groups > Manage User Groups. Why I need to do this manually doesn't make sense because my permissions are set up so that new registrants automatically receive membership status. Unfortunately, that doesn't translate for some reason. Any ideas why? Thanks
And when did this problem start? Was it by any chance when you dropped Register Plus and went with your new plugin for registrations? I am willing to bet it was and that is the reason I keep asking the question - what has changed?
And if I am right in that assertion then really it is a pretty logical conclusion that your new plugin doesn't play by the rules. If a registration plugin does not action the right WordPress hooks that inform SP of new registrations then there is nothing we can do about that. It should be corrected in the registration plugin.

Yellow,
Register Plus Redux would not allow anyone to register successfully. Upon researching the issue, I discovered that this plugin has been removed from the WP plugin directory due to security issues. So, I had no other choice but to delete the plugin and try something else. The new plugin that I use allows users to register but when they do, I now have to manually add them as members because they are not added automatically. I have, however, set my forum up so that all new users receive membership permissions automatically. However, as I have stated above, this process isn't translating to results. New users still require me to add them as members manually. This was never an issue with Register Plus Redux but then again, that plugin is defunct so I am left with this issue. Are you sure the cause is the plugin? Is there anyways it can be some adjustment I am over-looking in the SP-admin that will provide auto-membership to new users? Thanks again.
let's say 99% sure,. It worked before and now it doesn't. Easiest way to check is to use the WP registration form to see if that allocates the new member correctly.
As I said above, it sounds like the new plugin you are using does not fire the WP event hooks that SP and any other interested plugin needs. These are the tools WP provides that lets the Wp core and plugins all talk to each other. I would recommend getting in touch with the plugin authors and asking them to add the appropriate and standard hooks in to their code.

late to this thread, but assume you verified your new member usergroup assignment stuff on forum - options - members??? but of course, if it was working before, likely had it correct already...
