Great thanks, That confirms our diagnosis of the root of the issue.
We appreciate the great help tracking this down.

np. glad we could help.

plugin updates coming tonight - but will NOT fix the issue for users already experiencing it... will prevent more users from getting it...  core update in day or two will fix for users already experiencing it... not too widespread yet...

about translation,,,

for example i cannot locate the word

''Please note, private messages are automatically removed after 90 days''

i found it in sp-pm-components

if i translate it in greek i have to encode to utf without bom otherway i will have a >?>./,. instead of greek

if i encode to utf without bom forum does not work

which po file did you look in? Its in the private messaging plugin po file... It is broken up into two strings around the number...

Please note, private messages are automatically removed after

and

days

What are you changing? PO files are just a 'master' list of phrases needing to be translated. When they are translated you then need to create the 'mo' file which is in a compiled/machine readable form.

if you want to change or add translations then doing so through the translation site would be better - see http://codex.simple-press.com/.....alization/ for further details.
