upon installation, there doesn't appear to be a Forum WP page created?! ... what do I do?

You other post is probably more important. But... You can simple create a page - call it what you like - and then in the forum admin > Integration > Page and Permalink - select that page to use for the forum. But for that you need to be able to access the admin which I understand is a problem at the moment.
