Hello Mr Papa!

I just got back to work on the forum a few days ago. Today I saw the Mentions update and did it, the, as I usually do when upgrading any of the plugins, I went to reinstall the translation file... but look what happened:

If I display the forum it is still all in Italian though... Do you know what is the problem?

I am not even sure it is caused by the upgrade of the Mentions plugin but for sure late time I performed an update I went here to "Get Latest", as I do it all the times...

Thanks!

Hey Giovanna,

Are you all up to date with SP core, themes and WP?

Yes Ike, absolutely, I did all the upgrades as soon as I saw them. I saw the update of Mentions today and I did it too! And then I went to Integration/Languages and I found the screen as you see it in the picture. No idea if it was caused by Mentions or it was there before, all I know is that after the latest updates I also went to Integration/Languages and had not issues...

Hey Giovanna, I've moved this to it's own topic as it's better discussed here on the support forum.

From my limited understanding of translations I can't see a reason for it. The files obviously exist as your site is nicely translated so my guess would be something like a cache issue or something similarly strange going on in the admin panel.

Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions, so will have to wait for Mr Papa who is currently away. Hopefully this isn't affecting the usability of your forum in any way?

Oh That's why I could find my post anymore 😀

No, the forum is working ok. I cleared the browser cache too, google chrome, and the problem is still there. Maybe more something within the plugin?

No mentions couldn't possible do that...  it doesnt interact with that panel...  the only change was addition of one argument to a mysql query for getting autocomplete users...

but wp 4.3 did change some translation stuff though we have not seen any impact from it...

I assume you still have the language set up on wp general settings?

Hi Mr Papa,

I am running 4.3 and in the general settings of WP I have Italian, yes. Is that what you were asking?

unfortunately dont know much about this translation stuff - that's Andy's cup of tea... and is gone on few weeks of vacation...

seems odd it shows it_IT - Italian...   not sure what the - Italian is but could just be display info not actual localization stuff...

on forum - integration - storage locations, is everything okay there?

Yes Mr Papa, on forum – integration – storage locations all green ticks, location found for all the entries!

Well I wait for Andy then, forum is working in Italian so this must be simply a setup glitch... right? Please say yes 😀

I can't see any problem with the forum itself so this shouldn't affect usability in any way. Let us know in the meantime if it does of course.
