None of the links in administration page work

I just installed the simple press. When I click any of the links in the admin page, nothing happens and the page doesn't get refreshed. For example all the links under forum points to same url: content/wp-admin/admin.php?page=simple-press/admin/panel-forums/spa-forums.php

 

I even tried deactivating all the other plugins except simple press, still nothing seems to be working and I couldn't start with creating a new forum group. Please advise the troubleshooting steps.

Sounds like a javascript conflict that is preventing the ajax calls from functioning. If you know how to use the script console can you open it and see if any errors are reported when you make a forum admin panel change?
