When I mark an embedded picture in a post and add a link it doesn't use that link. When I choose the picture to test the link the picture link pops up instead.

I would like to mark a picture and assign a link to have it open a new window with the assigned link instead of the picture url.

I am probably just being dense here but I'm a bit confused by what you mean by 'mark' and 'add a link'. Can you talk me through the whole process so I understand what it is you are trying to do?
