Support Forum
Hey guys,
I have my admin options set to notify me any time that someone makes a post on any topic... that said, I somehow stopped receiving emails from the website.
That said, my other admin with the same settings still get's notified of every email. I have my email address correct under my profile, and I have the correct radio buttons selected... I don't understand why this thing stopped sending me emails... it was working fine for a while there.
Please let me know what you guys think the problem might be.
The WordPress email system has been famously unreliable as a parse through the WP support forums will show.
Assuming all email addresses are correct and all is set up as it should be, we usually recommend users to install the 'HGK SMTP' WordPress plugin and this most usually clears up the problems people have - including ones like this.

I had actually already set up a postmark account to handle all of my email. It's both SPF verified and DKIM verified... so nothing should be ending up in any type of spam folder.
I think this has to have something to do with my MX servers... I'm going to look into it.
Thanks for your help!
My mail servers are set up perfectly. Everything is signed correctly to ensure no spam flagging. It would seem that no mail is even being attempted to be sent.
Does this plugin use smtp only?
Postmark isn't even showing a record of the email being sent... it's not bouncing or being sent to spam, only one of my admin accounts is even being sent the email being generated by the forum.
There's got to be a way to reset this or something... I was just receiving the emails a few days ago.
*** Update*** that admin is not even receiving every topic update email... just some percentage.
Also, the only reason I haven't immediately switched to the plugin you recommend is because my site needs to send out a LOT of emails daily.
I typically have 50-100 people registering (3 emails per registration) and that number could easily get up to 500-1000 people.
I have to make sure that I'm not going to exceed gmails allowances, and get my account shutdown. That would be absolutely detrimental.
Either way, I really need to make this work. I've had a few product inquiries in the forum that I've missed due to my failure to generate this email.
Thanks again for your time and help guys.
Hostgator really screwed me up with a nameserver update the other day, and it caused all of my emails to bounce for a 48 hour period.
Postmark apparently stopped sending site mail to my email address because it had been registered as a "hard bounce" so many times.
The solution lied within my postmark control panel... I had to re-allow email to be sent to my admin email address... And now we are good to go on all accounts!
