I see that there is an option to require the first post of someone new to the forums to be moderated. I think this is great since there are some spammers out there (some?).
I tested this out. Seems to work well, but I (testing as a new user) didn’t seem to get a notice that my moderated post was approved. Is this a function/option that can be set in SP, ie email user when moderated posts are approved.
Perhaps it is in there somewhere, but I just can seem to find it.
We don’t actually have any such operation and as far as I recall – never been asked for it until now. I can certainly add it to the list of feature requests although to be honest we tend to tackle that on basically a ‘demand’ principle of the more people who ask the higher the priority.
Users who have a post in moderation do receive a visual notification at the top of each page on the forum display that their post still awaits approval.
