One member who was very active on the forums now gets error code (google chrome can't connect to the website)  no matter what browser he uses , any idea's greatly appreciated.

I think you will need to ask your host this - and perhaps the user will need to ask their ISP. Connection issues are going to be at a higher level than Wp or plugins I suspect.
