Thanks Andy. I really appreciate the help. I edited my previous message and included the attachment. Feel free to remove it once you've grabbed it from there (I can't edit the message any longer).
My forum is http://www.beatlesbible.com/forum/
There are quite a few errors, but I'll try to detail them all:
- John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr forums should all be below "Recording and musicology", in that order (Ringo's already is in the right place; the other three need to go above)
- In "Non-Beatles discussions" there are two sub-forums which have been orphaned - "Forum games" and "Heal/Hurt games". These should be sub-forums of "All together now".
- Also in "Non-Beatles discussions" are forums for various albums. These were previously sub-forums of "The albums". The order of these sub-forums is currently correct and should be retained: Please Please Me; With The Beatles; A Hard Day's Night; Beatles For Sale; Help!; Rubber Soul; Revolver; Sgt Pepper; Magical Mystery Tour; White Album; Yellow Submarine; Abbey Road; Let It Be; Live At The BBC; Anthology; Love
Thanks again Andy - it's really good of you to help with this.

Thanks to the help of a user who let us look at his database we have now pinned this issue down and have what we hope is a fix currently in testing. The problem seems to come about when the order groups/forums panel is used for the first time when the actual display sequence data held against the forums is basically corrupted. The annoying thing is that the new panel was designed to avoid potential corruptions in the sequence data but doesn't appear to handle existing corruptions properly. And for that we apologise but that was hard to test for as there can be so many different combinations.
We are pretty sure that if the sequence numbers (forum_seq) are corrected in the raw data before using the new panel then all is well. And we have re-written some of the code to help deal with this but, as I say, that is currently in testing. Manually correcting the sequence data using a tool like phpMyAdmin is possible but obviously not to be recommended for those with little or no experience of editing raw data tables.
Again we really do apologise for this. Let me know if you need any help as I am willing to try and correct your data if you wanted to send it to me.
Does this mean that you might be able to help correct my potentially corrupt data to get my clients forum fully running? I am only little familiar with phpMyAdmin.
